Apple Releases iOS 5.1.1

Apple has just recently released iOS 5.1.1 which comes with a whole host of bug fixes and not much more. If you’re on tethered jailbreak already, then you will be happy to know that there is a tethered jailbreak out already. If you’re still on untethered then you’ll have to keep waiting unless you want to go tethered. Disclaimer: You are responsible for your own actions no one else is responsible.

Gameloft’s Asphalt 7 Featured On Samsung Galaxy S III

No further details were given, but we do know for sure that the sequel to Gamelofts popular Asphalt 6: Adrenaline will be Asphalt 7 and it will run on the Android 4.0 Galaxy S III. Looking at the screenshots given it appears that Gameloft has taken a lot of the good feedback of what worked in Asphalt 6 and brought it to Asphalt 7. I have played Asphalt 6 on iOS and have to say it is the best racing game I have played on iOS. Gameloft also has a sequel coming out for N.O.V.A. 2 (another one of Gamelofts blockbuster titles) called N.O.V.A. 3. No word on release dates and pricing, but Gameloft is probably gearing up to show us more soon.

[Review] Doodle Sprint for iOS

Doodle Sprint for iOS is a 2D sidescrolling game that has you running over these green “hills” (you could call them) in order to go the farthest distance possible, but is it any good? Watch below to find out! (I might say overview in the video, but at the end I give it more of a review, it’s free, and barely a few MB, do I need to say anything more?)

iOS 5 Brought To iPhone 2G And 3G Thanks To Whited00r

Still have your old iPhone 2G/3G somewhere or even using it as your daily runner still? Well for the latter we’d say the “waiting to upgrade” game has been won, but for both categories who are hungry for a taste of iOS 5 on their devices, never fear. A new jailbreak (yes it is a jailbreak, NOT A TWEAK) released today called Whited00r allows you to install a “heavily modified” version of 3.1.3 (the farthest 2G/3G iPhones and the first two gens of iPod Touch’s can go) which includes many of the features of 4.0 and more. iCloud has a custom setup however and Notifications Center is non existent. On the bright side of things if you messup with the jailbreak or just want to restore then you can just go back to the same firmware you had with no worries of Apple phasing out the restore for that IPSW. To see more about the Jailbreak go here.
